Method:
Makes 32 biscuits.
Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
-
In a bowl, mix both flours and sugar together, then add in the butter using your fingertips to form breadcrumbs.
-
Form a well in the centre of the mixture and add in the beaten egg, honey and maple syrup.
-
Then, using your hands combine the ingredients to form a ball of dough.
-
Lightly flour a surface with plain flour and using a rolling pin roll out your dough.
-
Using Christmas biscuit cutters, cut out your biscuits shapes into the dough.
-
Place the biscuits onto the previously prepared baking tray and bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.
-
Once baked, allow the biscuits to cool on a wire rack.
-
After the biscuits have cooled you are ready to ice them. Depending on the shapes chosen you can ice your biscuits however you wish, using royal icing, chocolate, or any decorations you want.

Enjoy!
