Doughnuts!

Everyone loves a doughnut, and if you’re someone who doesn’t, then after reading this your bound to become a doughnut lover!

This bake has to be one of my favourites! I wanted to bake something which I’ve never done before. I absolutely love Krispy Kreme doughnuts (for those who are novice doughnut lovers, Krispy Kreme is an amazing doughnut shop!), so I decided I’d start my own Krispy Kreme doughnut factory in the kitchen! I had so many different flavour doughnuts I wanted to create and I couldn’t choose just one, so I decided to make 12 different flavours instead!

I chose to make some simple doughnuts, including a classic sugar glazed doughnut and other more complex ones such as a lemon meringue doughnut. Each one was made individually and decorated separately to create 12 unique doughnuts! Bringing a variety of colours and flavours together, I tried to make up the best combinations, some which I’ve tried before and others which were totally new!

There is definitely a doughnut suitable for everyone, may it be simple or complex. Do-nut worry (sorry I couldn’t resist the pun), if you’ve never tried a doughnut, now is your chance! Doughnut Flavours:

Filled Doughnuts: Jam filled (drizzled with icing sugar and blueberries), Nutella filled (coated in chopped hazelnuts and sugar, drizzled with dark chocolate), marshmallow filled (coated in milk chocolate and marshmallows), cherry jam filled (coated in sugar and ground almonds), lemon curd filled (topped with meringue), white chocolate filled (coated in dark chocolate with white chocolate flowers).

Ring Doughnuts: Sugar glaze, cream cheese with cinnamon and chopped walnuts, chocolate orange, hundreds and thousands, drizzle of dark, milk and white chocolate and pink icing with grated white chocolate.
