Salted Caramel Cupcakes!

Having debated all afternoon which flavour cupcakes to make next, I finally decided on salted caramel, because surely you’ll agree with me, anything which involves caramel is always successful! I’m a huge fan of salted caramel, may it be ice cream, cakes, cupcakes, cheesecakes, cookies, you name it and I’m bound to love it!

I decided to bake a simple vanilla cupcake but instead of using caster sugar, I replaced this with brown sugar to give it a slightly different flavour. I then made a caramel sauce, which is so simple to make and tastes absolutely amazing! The cupcakes have been iced in a caramel butter icing which has been piped on the top, drizzled with caramel sauce and sprinkled with a salted caramel crunch!

The secret to these cupcakes is that there also filled with caramel sauce. In case you couldn’t get enough caramel already, I thought I’d add that little bit extra!

This bake was definitely worth my time in the kitchen and I certainly wasn’t disappointed with the outcome! As I’m off away for a week, I thought I’d leave these little beauties for my family to enjoy!
