Flower Power!

Who doesn’t love a bunch of flowers? Nothing brings a smile to someone’s face quite like a pretty bunch of flowers (the secret to any girl’s heart!)

Today’s bake was based on last week’s Great British Bake Off episode. I decided to make 24 identical flower biscuits. Having not baked biscuits for a long time, I thought I’d take to the challenge.

Not knowing what shape to make, I finally decided on flowers! Initially thinking this was a simple idea, I began baking! With no flower cutter to make each biscuit, I printed out my own flower template and started creating each biscuit.

I chose to ice the biscuits in a white royal icing and then piped each petal out separately. I finished each biscuit off by hand painting on orange food dye, to decorate each petal, trying to make each one look identical!
