Mini Chocolate Loaf Cakes!

It’s nearly time for me to return to uni to start my second year, so I thought in my final week at home I’d bake something full of chocolate! One, to use up all the chocolate ingredients which are overflowing out the cupboards, two, because chocolate is perfect for that pick me up moment and three, yesterday was international chocolate day! (I also brought a new mini loaf tin last week and wanted to try it out.)
I chose to make chocolate sponges and ice them in a chocolate butter icing, drizzle them with dark chocolate and then grate chocolate on top to finish them off. Don’t worry, your waistlines can thank me later!

These individual loaves are so cute and are perfect if you don’t like sharing! For those of you who don’t know, I love using chocolate in my recipes because everyone loves chocolate right!? For those of you who don’t, try baking these and you’ll soon change your mind!

I’ve got one more bake on the way before I head back to uni, so keep your eyes peeled, and if you’re wondering, yes it involves chocolate!
