It's time for birthday cake...

Today it's one of my housemate’s birthdays! So being the kind friend that I am, I baked her a chocolate covered birthday cake!

This cake is three tiers of chocolate sponge, which has been sandwiched together with Oreo butter icing. I then made a chocolate ganache which I have dripped down the sides, I finished the cake with chocolate buttons, Maltesers and Oreos (Yes my friend loves chocolate, especially Oreos!)

For this chocolate sponge I used a new recipe but thankfully it worked out well and went down a treat with everyone! Click here to find the recipe!
