Profiteroles!

If you thought you ate enough food on Christmas day, I began eating far too much on Christmas Eve. Each year we go to family friends for dinner, play games, and have a girls vs boys gingerbread house competition (the boys won this year).

Each year I make a dessert, with it being so nearly Christmas day, and not wanting anything too rich and filling, this year I made profiteroles. Having made these before and the choux pastry being that little bit more of a challenge than I thought, this time I managed to perfect the choux pastry.

I filled the profiteroles with double cream and melted dark chocolate all over the top. Although not the healthiest dessert, the profiteroles were served with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries just to make ourselves feel that bit better!
